MAC lung disease is an infection caused by a group of bacteria called Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC). It's extremely difficult to diagnose and treat. In fact, a lot of time, patients are put on standard therapy (antibiotics) for a long time, yet they might still not get better. There is finally a new NTM guideline to add Arikayce to standard therapy if patients' conditions are not better in 6 months.

This Culture Conversion AR app allows HCPs to see MAC infection within a virtual character and how the infection can be resolved with the addition of Arikayce. Through augmented reality via smart phone, a virtual character will appear in the HCPs environment. MAC will appear in the character’s lungs, allowing the user to learn about MAC lung disease and culture conversion with ARIKAYCE. The AR experience can be accessed by HCPs on their smart devices, and will be available on the sales reps' iPads for one-on-one details and at conventions.
